How We Help
How Referral Support Works
A plain description of what a call with Mount Laurel Detox Support Group involves, so there are no surprises about what we can and cannot do.
Safety note: For a medical emergency, call 911. For immediate mental-health or substance-use crisis support, call or text 988.
What Happens on a Call
1. You call with a general question
Most calls start broadly: someone is not sure what detox means, what levels of care exist, or where to look first. There is no intake form to complete before talking with us.
2. We share general information
We explain common terms, describe the kinds of programs that exist, and point to public resources such as federal and state agencies. We do not assess clinical needs or make a diagnosis.
3. We suggest starting points
That may include official locators, state helplines, or the types of independently operated providers worth contacting. You decide who to contact.
4. You verify independently
Before committing to any program, confirm licensing, services, staffing, costs, and admissions directly with the provider and with state licensing sources.
What We Cannot Do
- We cannot diagnose a condition or recommend a course of treatment.
- We cannot admit anyone to a program or guarantee a bed, appointment, or cost.
- We cannot provide crisis intervention or emergency care.
- We cannot verify insurance benefits or authorize coverage.
- We cannot promise an outcome from any program or service.
Independent Verification Matters
Any provider mentioned in a conversation is independently operated. We do not vet, rank, endorse, or supervise providers, and mentioning a resource is not a recommendation. People and families remain responsible for evaluating any provider, program, service, or resource they choose to contact.
